1936 TAKES MINORITY STAKE IN TRACKHOUSE MOTOGP

15 Oct 2026·

Trackhouse MotoGP has brought in a new investor, with global sports and entertainment investment platform 1936 taking a “significant minority investment” in the team. The deal was announced on October 14, but its financial details have not been disclosed. 1936 joins founder and CEO Justin Marks and Avenue Sports Fund as shareholders.

Marks called the deal “a thrilling moment” for Trackhouse, saying the new partners share his belief in MotoGP’s global potential and the team’s ability to benefit as the championship grows. He said the investment creates opportunities to put more into competition, the brand, storytelling and the wider Trackhouse experience.

1936 is based in London and was founded by Charlie Raposo, a former British ski racer. Raposo described MotoGP as being “in the early innings of its commercial opportunity.” He pointed to the quality of the racing and a loyal, engaged fanbase, adding that although the championship is already global, there is considerable scope for further international growth. 1936 also said the investment comes at an important time, as Liberty Media’s acquisition of MotoGP is expected to expand its international audience and attract greater interest from global brands and media partners.

Raposo said 1936 was proud to join Marks in building a team with ambition and a distinctive identity. The firm’s goal, he added, is to help develop what he called “the most exciting franchise in the sport” and make Trackhouse a leading performer both on and off the track.

Trackhouse entered MotoGP in 2024, taking over the grid places previously held by RNF. The team has since claimed grand prix victories with Ai Ogura and Raul Fernandez this season. In 2026, the pair are fourth and seventh in the riders’ standings, while Trackhouse sits third in the teams’ championship, behind the factory Aprilia and Ducati squads, with five Grands Prix remaining. The investment comes after Liberty Media acquired MotoGP in July 2025.
