APRILIA AND DUCATI LEVEL IN MOTOGP CONSTRUCTORS’ STANDINGS

7 Oct 2026·

Aprilia and Ducati are level on 469 points in the MotoGP constructors’ championship heading into the 17th event of the 2026 season, setting up a close contest between the two Italian manufacturers. KTM is third on 296, ahead of Honda on 161 and Yamaha on 89.

The constructors’ standings count the best-finishing motorcycle from each manufacturer in every sprint and Grand Prix. Although the points are tied, Ducati currently leads on race wins: its riders have claimed eight Sunday victories, compared with seven for Aprilia. Marc Marquez has delivered six of Ducati’s wins, with Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio taking one each. Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchi has four victories, while Jorge Martin, Raul Fernandez and Ai Ogura have one apiece.

The prize carries particular significance for Aprilia, which has yet to win the premier-class constructors’ title. Ducati has taken the crown seven times, in 2007 and every season from 2020 through 2025.

The manufacturers’ battle is unfolding alongside a tight fight for the riders’ championship. After 16 Grands Prix, Aprilia’s Martin leads with 333 points, just two ahead of Ducati’s Marc Marquez on 331. Bezzecchi is third on 284, followed by Pedro Acosta on 243 and Ai Ogura on 237. Fabio Di Giannantonio sits sixth on 230, more than 100 points behind the leader.

Six events remain, representing 12 sprint and Grand Prix races. That total could fall to 10 races if the Qatar Grand Prix, scheduled for early November, is cancelled. The Indonesian round adds another focal point to the title race: Ducati Corse chief executive Gigi Dall’Igna and Aprilia racing boss Massimo Rivola are due to discuss both championship contests at Thursday’s opening press conference.
