BALDASSARRI TO STAY WITH GOELEVEN DUCATI THROUGH 2027
13 Oct 2026·

Lorenzo Baldassarri will stay with GoEleven Ducati for the 2027 World Superbike season, extending a partnership that has revived his career after a difficult spell across several categories.
Baldassarri joined the satellite team for 2026, replacing former MotoGP race winner Andrea Iannone. He has made an immediate impression, taking two podiums and showing the speed and consistency that had eluded him in recent seasons. After leaving the WorldSBK grid at the end of 2023 following a challenging year on Yamaha machinery, he returned to World Supersport in 2024 before competing in MotoE in 2026.
“I’m really happy to renew with Team GoEleven,” Baldassarri said. He explained that the final details took time to settle, but added that he had been anticipating the announcement. “We’re keeping continuity with the project, and I’m pleased about that. This year has been fantastic, and I’ve been consistently fast and steady.”
The Italian said GoEleven’s faith in him helped him recover from a period when he lacked confidence and results, having changed teams, bikes and categories. He believes the squad now has a dependable starting point for each circuit and is eager to build on it: “Big challenges lie ahead, but we’ll arrive ready for every weekend. I can’t wait to start another year together.”
The renewal follows speculation that GoEleven might sign Yamaha MotoGP rider Alex Rins for 2027. Rins has since announced his retirement from motorcycle racing and hinted at a move into car racing, removing that possibility from the picture.
Team boss Denis Sacchetti said the trust and rapport developed with Baldassarri made continuing together the natural choice. He praised the rider’s impact from the opening race and noted that his performances had caught the attention of many. With a full season of WorldSBK experience behind him, Sacchetti believes the pair can make 2027 “really exciting”.
“We’re thrilled and motivated,” he added.
