MARQUEZ SAYS INDONESIAN GP HAUL AT HIS WORST TRACK WAS A DREAM
11 Oct 2026·

Marc Marquez left the Indonesian Grand Prix satisfied with a sixth-place finish that kept his championship position intact, despite a difficult race at a circuit he considers his worst on the calendar. He had failed to finish the Mandalika grand prix in each of the previous three years, but this time completed the race after winning Saturday’s sprint. Across the two races, he scored a win and a sixth place.
With Aprilia’s Jorge Martin third, Marquez ended the weekend still two points behind the championship lead. He said that before arriving, he would have gladly accepted a weekend in which he lost only three points to Marco Bezzecchi and finished level with Martin. “It was a dream,” he said. “And we achieved it, in the worst circuit for us.” He also called it a “dream” not to lose any points to Martin in the title fight.
