MotoGP deputy CEO Carlos Ezpeleta says teams themselves pushed for changes to the grand prix weekend format, which is due to take effect in 2027. The FIM confirmed the latest revision on Wednesday. Ezpeleta framed the move as a response to teams’ desire to improve the format, as a different kind of executive profile begins to emerge within the championship.
