QATAR GP: MARQUEZ CAN SEAL TITLE AS LUSAIL SCHEDULE IS SET
2 Nov 2026·

The 2026 Qatar Grand Prix is scheduled for 6–8 November at Lusail, with Marc Marquez arriving on the brink of a possible MotoGP title. He leads the injured Jorge Martin by 44 points and must increase that advantage to 74 by the end of the weekend to clinch the championship.
The event’s schedule follows the usual three-day format: two practice sessions on Friday, then final practice, qualifying and the Sprint on Saturday, before Sunday’s warm-up and Grand Prix. However, uncertainty surrounds the weekend amid concerns that the US war with Iran could escalate. Five riders are confirmed absent, after Yamaha withdrew both of its teams the previous weekend.
