RAZGATLIOGLU RIDES MANDALIKA SPRINT AFTER SHOULDER DISLOCATION

10 Oct 2026·

Toprak Razgatlioglu dislocated his right shoulder in a high-speed crash during Friday morning practice at the Indonesian MotoGP. The Pramac Yamaha rider lost the rear of his bike at Turn 13, which snapped sideways and launched him onto the track. He immediately grabbed his shoulder, and marshals helped him walk away with his arm hanging down.

After returning to the pits on a scooter, Razgatlioglu went into the Pramac garage. MotoGP pit lane reporter Jack Appleyard confirmed the shoulder had come out of its socket and was put back into place. Razgatlioglu wanted to ride again, but the team advised him not to, and he was taken to the medical centre for assessment.

Despite the injury, Razgatlioglu returned for qualifying and the sprint on Saturday. He finished 19th, 23.8 seconds behind winner Marc Marquez, with only Honda replacement rider Aleix Espargaro behind him. He cancelled his media appearance to recover, but later described the crash and its effects: “Before qualifying today I had a heavy crash, where I dislocated my shoulder and put it back in. I feel pain, which is normal.”

The shoulder also limited him in the sprint. “In the race I felt less strength in my right shoulder. Still, I tried to do my best,” he said. He also reported problems with the Yamaha, particularly its electronics in some corners, and said he was losing time in the second sector. “If we improve that, then I can have a much better pace in the race.”

Looking ahead to Sunday’s full-distance Grand Prix, Razgatlioglu said: “Let’s see how the race goes tomorrow. The full race is always difficult for everyone. I hope I can get a much better result.”
