RED BULL TO TITLE SPONSOR ADELAIDE’S INAUGURAL MOTOGP RACE
12 Oct 2026·

Red Bull will be the title sponsor of Adelaide’s new MotoGP round for its first two seasons, in 2027 and 2028, as the Australian Grand Prix moves from Phillip Island to a temporary city-centre circuit. The event will be called the Red Bull Grand Prix of Australia.
The inaugural race is scheduled for November 12-14, 2027, and will be the penultimate round of the championship. Adelaide’s event will replace Phillip Island, which is set to host its final MotoGP round this season. The new circuit will be 4.13 kilometres long, with 15 turns.
MotoGP Deputy CEO Carlos Ezpeleta said Australia was among the sport’s most important and passionate markets, and described the Adelaide debut as a landmark occasion. He said the parkland layout would bring racing into the city and offer a striking experience for fans, teams and riders. Red Bull’s motorsport record and shared goal of delivering major events made it, he added, “the perfect partner” for the next chapter of the Australian Grand Prix.
The company already sponsors two rounds this season: the races at COTA and San Marino.
South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas called Red Bull’s involvement a major endorsement and a significant win for the state. He said the partnership would bring international attention and help position Adelaide as a destination on the MotoGP calendar. “We’re building something special here,” Malinauskas said, adding that the collaboration with MotoGP put the city on course for an “incredible first race in 2027.”
