Ai Ogura will miss the Aragon Grand Prix after returning from Japan with a hand injury that required surgery, with the operation scheduled for Thursday. Trackhouse confirmed the setback will “rule him out” of the race and “compromises his fight” for the MotoGP world championship. The Trackhouse Aprilia rider is third in the standings, 37 points behind leader Jorge Martin, with MotorLand up next this weekend. Lorenzo Savadori will replace him in Spain. Autosport reports Ogura underwent the procedure in Barcelona by Dr Xavier Mir, with a plate inserted into his left thumb after the fracture was detected.
