ALEX MARQUEZ CALLS SILVERSTONE PODIUM LOSS AN UNACCEPTABLE MISTAKE

Alex Marquez said his British GP podium slipped because of a “stupid” and “unacceptable” mistake at turn one. After starting seventh, he climbed into contention and, once he cleared Marco Bezzecchi, felt he could fight the Aprilias for second. He overshot turn one, lost rear contact, dropped back to fifth before recovering to fourth, but couldn’t get third. “Because… I just missed a little bit the brake point,” he said, calling it painful given how realistic the podium felt.
