KTM motorsport chief Pit Beirer said recurring engine problems during the first half of the 2026 MotoGP season had a severe impact on the team, admitting they “almost killed us”. The issues came as the Austrian manufacturer sought a fresh start under new ownership after emerging from insolvency proceedings, despite having secured its racing programme.
