BEZZECCHI HOLDS THIRD TO DELIVER APRILIA A PERFECT DAY IN ENGLAND

Marco Bezzecchi delivered what he described as an almost impossible performance in England, finishing third in a way that felt “like a win” for Aprilia. From the start, the Italian was already near the front, moving up on the outside on the way into Turn 2 to claim P3. It took a little time to find his rhythm, with the Marquez brothers and Pedro Acosta looking sharp early.

Bezzecchi’s race stood out for the contrast between his condition and his pace. The report noted that he was the rider considered to be in the worst physical shape, yet he controlled the distance without making a mistake. After the chequered flag, he struggled to speak—so overwhelmed and exhausted that he could barely respond in the Parc fermé. The only clear words he managed were a muted thanks to his team.

As he headed back toward the garage, an enthusiastic team manager, Paolo Bonora, called out to him in the team microphone: “Danke, Marco, für deinen Einsatz!” The result also mattered beyond the podium. By holding on to third against Alex Marquez to the finish line, Bezzecchi secured the second consecutive triple podium for Aprilia in less than 24 hours and helped Aprilia’s standings take shape in the championship fight.

In the points picture, Bezzecchi sits 31 points behind championship leader Jorge Martin, his Aprilia teammate, and six points ahead of Ai Ogura, also on Aprilia. The forward push from Marc Marquez was temporarily halted, with Bezzecchi continuing a notable run after two consecutive operations following the Sachsenring crash.
