BEZZECCHI RETURNS TO TRACK IN MISANO DURING AUGUST BREAK

With the MotoGP World Championship not returning until the end of August at MotorLand Aragón, the riders are using the roughly three-week break after the British Grand Prix to prepare for the final stretch of the 2026 season. The remaining ten race weekends will be crucial in a title fight described as extremely close.

Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchi is at the heart of that battle. After two third-place finishes at Silverstone, he sits second in the standings, 31 points behind teammate Jorge Martín. Speedweek notes that Bezzecchi’s Silverstone results carried extra weight because he was still dealing with the after-effects of the keybone fracture he suffered earlier at the Sachsenring. Despite that, he managed to convert the weekend into two podiums.

Rather than treating the downtime as full recovery, Bezzecchi has been back on track. During the August break, he joined friends from the VR46 Academy—specifically mentioning Pecco Bagnaia among them—at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. There, Bezzecchi reportedly completed many laps on an Aprilia RSV4, using the time to stay sharp ahead of the RS-GP campaign at Aragón.

The Aragón Grand Prix is scheduled for 28–30 August, with Bezzecchi and his Aprilia colleagues—Jorge Martín, Raúl Fernández and Ai Ogura—expected to fight for wins and podiums on the fast RS-GP.
