DI GIANNANTONIO TARGETS A STRONG RESPONSE IN SILVERSTONE AFTER SACHSENRING SETBACK

Fabio Di Giannantonio heads into the British Grand Prix at Silverstone looking to put right a frustrating Sachsenring weekend that cost him valuable points in the title fight. After a difficult run in the last race before the summer break, the VR46 Ducati rider managed a podium in Saturday’s sprint but then crashed out of Sunday’s main race, leaving him to absorb the impact on his championship position.

Entering Silverstone, Di Giannantonio sits fifth in the standings with 184 points. He is only 24 points behind championship leader Jorge Martin, meaning there is still plenty to play for as the season moves on from the summer pause. With that in mind, the Italian is determined to return to the front and fight for wins at a circuit he believes suits his style.

Speaking ahead of the race, Di Giannantonio said he was “happy to be back on the track” after the break, explaining that he was able to relax and recharge while also continuing to train. He noted that training had previously been limited due to a finger injury, but that he used the downtime to prepare properly. On track, he worked on setup and preparation using both the Ducati Panigale and a minibike, aiming to arrive in the UK as ready as possible.

He also highlighted Silverstone’s character, calling it a very long lap and comparing it to Austin—adding that he “loves” the circuit. Di Giannantonio pointed to last year’s results as motivation: he earned a sprint podium at Silverstone, while finishing ninth in the Grand Prix. “We’re travelling with a positive mood,” he said, referencing the need to bounce back from the Sachsenring mistake. He added that the team has a “great package” and that while weather could be decisive, they will be prepared “under all conditions.”
