JOHANN ZARCO SET TO RETURN AT ARAGON GP AFTER BARCELONA CRASH

20 Aug·

LCR has confirmed Johann Zarco will return to MotoGP at the Aragon Grand Prix (28–30 August), but only if he passes a medical assessment scheduled for next Thursday. Zarco has been sidelined since a serious incident at the Catalan Grand Prix in May: during the first restart at Turn 1, he crashed in an accident that also involved Luca Marini and Francesco Bagnaia. The reports note that Zarco’s left leg was badly affected in the collision. With the Aragon round now set as his comeback target, the team’s announcement makes clear that clearance from the medical evaluation is the final step before he can take part in the weekend’s action.
