MARC MARQUEZ SAYS DUCATI “CAUGHT HIM OUT” BY INCLUDING PRIVATE ADMISSION IN INSIDE DOCU-SERIES

Marc Marquez has explained how Ducati “caught him out” after a private admission about his right arm appeared in the latest episode of the team’s INSIDE docu-series. The Lenovo Team’s INSIDE content has become a regular stop for fans looking for behind-the-scenes detail from a Ducati weekend, and the newest instalment includes a blunt comment from the Spaniard that quickly resurfaced in the paddock.

The context was Marquez’s British Grand Prix, where he finished P7 after a weekend that raised questions about the condition of his right arm. In the social video, he said he had “no control” over his right arm, a line that triggered concern among observers and prompted renewed scrutiny of whether he was back to square one.

Speaking ahead of the Aragon Grand Prix, Marquez said he understood why the topic kept coming up, but stressed that he is the rider who least wants to discuss it. “You know I’m the one who least wants to talk about my shoulder, my right arm,” he told journalists via Diario AS. He then added that Ducati had effectively forced the issue back into the spotlight: “But, yes, it’s true that in ‘INSIDE Ducati’, they caught me out and now the subject is being brought up again.”

Marquez also revealed how deeply the arm has shaped his season and his day-to-day communication inside the Ducati garage. He said he has even asked his engineers not to use the word “fitness” when discussing his situation. “We’re trying to manage my physical condition as best we can and, however much I don’t want to talk about it, one thing is obvious: I’ve had many operations on this right arm, from the humerus to the shoulder – seven in total now,” he said. “The problem is that, at Silverstone, I approached the weekend aggressively, right from Friday, trying to push myself hard – something I hadn’t done since the summer break.”

According to Marquez, the plan looked different once race day arrived. “I woke up on Sunday knowing I’d have to suffer during the race, but, even though I was physically fit, I wouldn’t have finished higher than fourth. However, because I was in pain, I had to take a step back during the race and just finish it.”

Despite the disappointment at Silverstone, Marquez has since arrived at MotorLand Aragon with momentum. The reports say he has topped FP1 and looked highly competitive in pre-qualifying practice, suggesting he is back to form at a circuit he considers one of his favourites. With the right-arm topic still never far from the headlines, Aragon represents another chance for Marquez to translate strong early sessions into a result, while the INSIDE clip continues to fuel discussion about how much control he truly has over the arm that has defined his season.
