MAVERICK VINIALES SET TO MISS AUSTRIAN GP AGAIN AS POL ESPARGARO STEPS IN

Tech3 has confirmed that Pol Espargaro will continue racing with the team at this weekend’s Austrian Grand Prix, replacing Maverick Viñales at the Red Bull Ring. Motorsport.com adds that Viñales has not competed since 12 July, when he retired in the closing stages of the German GP. The injury remains the shoulder issue, with Espargaro’s recent form described by Tech3 as encouraging and the team’s priority still focused on Viñales’ recovery. Autosport reports Tech3 said: “Pol Espargarp will continue racing with Tech3 at this weekend's Austrian Grand Prix, replacing Maverick Vinales at the Red Bull Ring circuit.”
