MOTOGP ADDS FOUR EXECUTIVES TO ITS LEADERSHIP TEAM

5h ago·

MotoGP has named four senior executives to its leadership team, following Carlos Ezpeleta’s recent promotion to Deputy CEO. The appointments bring experience from football, Formula 1, American sports and entertainment as the series enters what it describes as its next phase of growth under Liberty Media.

Ryan Norys will become Chief Commercial Officer, moving from Tottenham Hotspur, where he is Chief Revenue Officer. Sameer Pabari takes the Chief Media Officer role after senior positions with the NFL, Warner Bros. Discovery and Manchester United. Louise Young joins as Chief Operating Officer, having spent more than eight years in Formula 1; her most recent position there was Chief Race Promotion Officer.

Denitza Batchvarova is appointed Chief Strategy Officer. She joined the organisation in early September and brings two decades of strategic leadership experience in finance and sports entertainment, most recently with UFC and TKO Group Holdings.

The appointments were announced on September 23. They add to other recent changes in MotoGP’s senior ranks: Vince Russell became Chief Financial Officer in May, while Enrique Aldama took on the Chief Administrative Officer role. Carmelo Ezpeleta remains CEO.

Carlos Ezpeleta described the hires as “an important step in building the team that will help shape MotoGP’s future”. He said the four executives’ backgrounds at leading sports and entertainment organisations would strengthen the championship’s capabilities across commercial, media, operational and strategic work.

Working alongside existing staff, the new team will aim to deepen MotoGP’s relationship with fans, reach new audiences and develop opportunities for current and prospective commercial partners, Ezpeleta said. He added that the appointments would build on the sport’s strong foundations.
