MOTOGP ARAGON 2026 SCHEDULE CONFIRMED WITH SPRINT ON SATURDAY AND MAIN RACE SUNDAY

MotoGP returns to Spain for the Aragon Grand Prix at MotorLand Aragon, a 5.077-kilometre circuit featuring ten left-hand and seven right-hand corners. The venue has been on the World Championship calendar since 2010, with the notable exception of 2023, when no races were held there.

Aragon has long been a strong hunting ground for Marc Marquez. Speedweek reports that the nine-time world champion is the most successful rider at the track, taking victories in 2013, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2024 and 2025. The report also highlights that in the last two years, Marquez—now riding a Ducati—has won not only the main races but also the MotoGP sprint events.

Looking ahead to 2026, Marquez is again framed as the rider to beat because the circuit suits him. His main challengers are expected to come from the Aprilia camp: Jorge Martin, Marco Bezzecchi, Raul Fernandez and Ai Ogura. In the championship standings heading into the weekend, Martin leads the table by 31 points over Bezzecchi (“Bez”). Ogura is listed third, while Marquez sits fourth, 40 points behind Martin.

Beyond MotoGP, the weekend also includes Moto2 and Moto3 action, and—returning to the programme—riders from the Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup. The MotoGP sprint is scheduled for Saturday at 15:00, and the usual order is maintained on Sunday with Moto3 starting at 11:00. The main MotoGP race is the headline event at 14:00, scheduled over 23 laps.

The reported schedule for the 2026 Aragon Grand Prix (times in CEST) begins on Friday, 28 August, with Moto3 FP1 from 09:00 to 09:35, Moto2 FP1 from 09:50 to 10:30, and MotoGP FP1 from 10:45 to 11:30. Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup sessions are also on the day, with FP1 from 12:05 to 12:25 and FP2 from 16:25 to 16:45. Moto3 practice runs 13:15–13:50, Moto2 practice 14:05–14:45, and MotoGP practice 15:00–16:00.

On Saturday, 29 August, Moto3 FP2 is set for 08:40–09:10, Moto2 FP2 for 09:25–09:55, and MotoGP FP2 for 10:10–10:40. MotoGP qualifying is split into Q1 (10:50–11:05) and Q2 (11:15–11:30). Moto3 and Moto2 qualifying sessions follow, with Moto3 Q1 12:45–13:00 and Q2 13:10–13:25, plus Moto2 Q1 13:40–13:55 and Q2 14:05–14:20. The MotoGP sprint (11 laps) starts at 15:00, followed by the Bagger World Cup race 1 at 16:10.

Sunday, 30 August, opens with the Bagger World Cup race 2 at 08:55 (8 laps). MotoGP warm-up is scheduled for 09:40–09:50. Moto3 races at 11:00 (17 laps), Moto2 at 12:15 (19 laps), and the MotoGP race at 14:00 (23 laps).
