QUARTARARO JOINS YAMAHA EVENT IN INDIA BEFORE JAPANESE GP

Fabio Quartararo made a stop in India before heading to Motegi for the Japanese Grand Prix, appearing at a Yamaha event on Monday at the Madras International Circuit near Chennai. The visit was part of a track day celebrating the launch of Yamaha’s new YZF-R2 sportbike. The circuit, known as “The Home of Indian Motorsport,” hosted the French rider and fellow Yamaha MotoGP racers Jack Miller and Alex Rins.

The three riders arrived as a surprise for dealers and journalists, who initially seemed taken aback by the unexpected guests. Quartararo also took the lightweight 200cc bike out on track. Miller, meanwhile, entertained the crowd by performing tricks on a scooter. Toprak Razgatlioglu, Yamaha’s Pramac rider, was absent.

The event included a large group photograph with the MotoGP visitors. Quartararo had previously travelled to India several years ago with his then-teammate Franco Morbidelli. Miller is set to continue under the Yamaha umbrella in 2027, moving to the Superbike World Championship.
