ALEX MARQUEZ LEADS SILVERSTONE FP1 AS BEZZECCHI LATER BREAKS THE LAP RECORD

Marco Bezzecchi’s Friday pace was framed as a “brilliant comeback” from his collarbone fracture, after he had been unsure about his fitness following the German GP crash and a patchy run of form beforehand. Autosport reported that he “smashed the circuit record at Silverstone by almost a second” to lead Aprilia’s 1-2-4-5 showing in practice. Trackhouse’s Ai Ogura also featured at the sharp end.
