ALEX MARQUEZ COMPARES HIS CAREER TO SETE GIBERNAU’S ERA

Alex Marquez has drawn a comparison between his MotoGP path and fellow Catalan Sete Gibernau, saying both were “behind” generational stars. Marquez pointed to having to contend with older brother Marc, while Gibernau raced in the Valentino Rossi era. Gibernau finished second to Rossi in MotoGP in 2003 and 2004, and Marquez said he learned what it means to be “best of the …” when greats are ahead.
