BAGNAIA SUGGESTS USING SPRINT FASTEST LAPS TO SET GRAND PRIX GRIDS

Francesco Bagnaia said MotoGP should use the sprint’s fastest laps to set the grand prix grid. Speaking at the Austrian GP, he backed a proposed 2027 change where sprint and grand prix qualifying would be separated. Under the current format, Saturday morning qualifying sets the grid for both the afternoon sprint and Sunday’s race.
