BEZZECCHI TOPS MISANO WARM-UP AHEAD OF MARQUEZ, MOREIRA THIRD

Marco Bezzecchi continued his Misano momentum in the 15-minute MotoGP warm-up, setting the pace after a duel with Marc Marquez that echoed the sprint. Bezzecchi, who had been beaten in the sprint by the reigning world champion, started from pole and quickly moved into the low 1:31s, then pushed harder as the session progressed. Fabio Quartararo, Francesco Bagnaia and Marquez all appeared at the front at different stages, but Bezzecchi kept improving lap after lap.

In the final run, the reigning championship third produced a 1:30.835, putting him just under four tenths clear of the rider immediately behind him—Marquez, who was again the one to chase him down. The warm-up also highlighted rookie Diogo Moreira’s strong form for Honda: the Moto2 world champion posted a faster set of laps to finish third at the flag, ahead of Gresini’s Aron Canet? (reported as Aldeguer), Quartararo and Alex Marquez. KTM’s Pedro Acosta, who had been sixth in the sprint, ended the warm-up eighth.

With Misano’s forecast described as stable and late-summer like, the outlook for Sunday’s racing across classes was for dry conditions, with MotoGP set to start at 14:00.
