DF1 AIRS SAN MARINO MOTOGP 2026 LIVE: QUALIFYING ON SATURDAY, RACES ON SUNDAY

The San Marino Grand Prix weekend is one of the MotoGP events that will be shown live in Germany, with the broadcast schedule split across DF1 and other platforms depending on the country.

In Germany, DF1 carries selected MotoGP races live and free-to-air on linear TV. For this weekend, DF1 will air MotoGP qualifying on Saturday at 10:50, followed by coverage from 12:45 that includes the Moto3 and Moto2 qualifying sessions as well as the MotoGP Sprint. On Sunday, DF1’s live coverage begins at 10:20 and includes races across all classes.

The rights landscape in Germany has shifted in recent years. After ServusTV ended its linear operations in Germany at the turn of 2023 into 2024, MotoGP broadcasts there have been handled through a collaboration with DF1. Looking ahead, the report notes that from 2027, selected races will be shown on free-to-air TV in Germany via RTL. The same source also adds that twelve selected events of the premier class will be broadcast live and free on DF1 in linear TV in 2026, while the remaining meetings are available as summaries. It further states that those DF1 races can also be watched digitally via ServusTV On and Red Bull TV.

In Austria, ServusTV is described as offering MotoGP coverage free of charge across both linear and digital channels, including Red Bull TV. The schedule for the San Marino weekend starts on Saturday with MotoGP qualifying live at 10:40. From 12:50, ServusTV will show the Moto3 and Moto2 qualifying sessions and the MotoGP Sprint. On Sunday, ServusTV’s live race coverage begins at 10:20 for all classes. The report also states that ServusTV On is already broadcasting from Friday.

In Switzerland, the rights are held by SRG, with coverage distributed across SRF (German), RTS (French) and RSI (Italian). On Saturday, SRF will show the MotoGP Sprint live at 14:50. The MotoGP race on Sunday is scheduled for 13:50 on SRF, with both the Sprint and the Grand Prix also available live via streaming and the SRF Sport app.

For Italy, the report says RSI will broadcast on LA2. MotoGP qualifying is scheduled for Saturday at 10:45 live. From 12:40, the program includes Moto3 and Moto2 qualifying plus the MotoGP Sprint. It also lists repeat programming: Moto2 qualifying replays at 17:10 and 02:30, and a recorded MotoGP Sprint showing at 03:30. On Sunday, LA2’s live race coverage begins at 10:55 for all classes.

RTS2 is listed as showing the MotoGP Sprint on Saturday from 14:55, while on Sunday it will broadcast the MotoGP race from 13:50.

The report adds an important practical note: due to the allocation of secondary rights, broadcasts may appear on providers not listed in the main schedule. It also cautions that whether MotoGP is legally receivable can depend on reception methods, the chosen provider, and the specific channel lineup.

Beyond where to watch, the weekend timetable for the San Marino Grand Prix (MESZ) is laid out across Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

On Friday, Moto3 FP1 runs from 09:00 to 09:35, Moto2 FP1 from 09:50 to 10:30, and MotoGP FP1 from 10:45 to 11:30. Later, Moto3 practice is scheduled for 13:15 to 13:50, Moto2 practice from 14:05 to 14:45, and MotoGP practice from 15:00 to 16:00.

Saturday begins with Moto3 FP2 from 08:40 to 09:10, Moto2 FP2 from 09:25 to 09:55, and MotoGP FP2 from 10:10 to 10:40. MotoGP qualifying is split into two parts: Qualifying 1 from 10:50 to 11:05 and Qualifying 2 from 11:15 to 11:30. Moto3 qualifying follows from 12:45 to 13:00 (Q1) and 13:10 to 13:25 (Q2), while Moto2 qualifying is from 13:40 to 13:55 (Q1) and 14:05 to 14:20 (Q2). The MotoGP Sprint is set for 15:00 over 13 laps, followed by Red Bull Rookies Cup Race 1 at 16:10 over 15 laps.

Sunday’s schedule starts with Red Bull Rookies Cup Race 2 at 08:45 over 15 laps, then MotoGP warm-up at 09:40 to 09:50. Moto3 race is scheduled for 11:00 over 20 laps, Moto2 race at 12:15 over 22 laps, and the MotoGP race at 14:00 over 27 laps.
