Jorge Martin dropped from first to fifth at Misano in the San Marino GP due to arm pump, the factory Aprilia rider revealed, with the issue serious enough that he is considering surgery. He had emerged as a surprise victory contender after teammate and polesitter Marco Bezzecchi crashed out on the opening lap. Martin said the problem escalated during the race and left him “out of control,” before he added it was “a pity” to lose a “big opportunity” despite feeling “really good” early on.
