SENNA AGIUS TO MAKE MOTO GP DEBUT AT RED BULL RING PIRELLI TEST

Tech3’s newly confirmed 2027 rider Senna Agius is set to make his MotoGP debut during Monday’s Pirelli test at the Red Bull Ring. KTM has confirmed to Crash.net that the Australian will take part in the behind-closed-doors session, riding alongside Luca Marini at Tech3 next season.
The Red Bull Ring test will be only the second 850cc/Pirelli outing that is open to MotoGP race riders, following the first such debut at Brno in June. While the full rider line-up for Monday has not yet been announced, Agius is expected to be joined by at least one other 2027 rookie—Pramac Yamaha-bound Izan Guevara.
Guevara previously made his MotoGP debut during a private Yamaha test at Valencia last year. In the current Moto2 standings, he sits second, but 47.5 points behind Intact GP team-mate Manuel Gonzalez. Agius, meanwhile, has slipped to fourth after being taken out at Turn 1 in Misano and is 83.5 points behind Gonzalez.
The presence of other rookies remains uncertain. Crash.net reports that fellow MotoGP newcomers David Alonso—who is joining Honda next season—and Gresini Ducati-bound Dani Holgado are yet to be confirmed for the test. However, Ducati’s Nicolo Bulega has ruled himself out to focus on securing the WorldSBK title at Cremona, after a heavy crash at Mugello earlier this week.
After the Red Bull Ring, the next Pirelli test open to MotoGP race riders will be the official post-season Valencia test on 1 December. That event will also be the first public Pirelli test, with official timing.
