2026 MISANO MOTOGP SCHEDULE CONFIRMED WITH FP1, QUALIFYING, SPRINT AND RACE TIMES

MotoGP returns to Italy for the final Italian-based round of the 2026 season as the San Marino race weekend gets underway at Misano from 11–13 September. With the championship fight tightening at the top, the weekend is set to carry extra weight for the leading Ducati and Aprilia riders, while several home favourites and farewell appearances add a strong emotional edge.

Heading into Sunday’s grand prix, Ducati reigning champion Marc Marquez finds himself “sandwiched” in the title picture between Jorge Martin and Aprilia team-mate Marco Bezzecchi. Martin leads the standings by 19 points over Marquez after the Spaniard’s double victory at Aragon, while Bezzecchi is closing in but still sits 24 points behind the leader. The trio are the headline contenders for the top step on Sunday evening.

Misano also brings a sense of unfinished business for Marquez and Bezzecchi. Last season, Bezzecchi qualified on pole and then went on to win the Sprint after a rare mistake by Marquez. The grand prix itself delivered a close, high-stakes duel: the two traded fastest race laps, with Marquez holding off Bezzecchi by just half a second at the chequered flag. In the wider standings, Diggia (Fabio di Giannantonio) starts the event 48 points behind Martin and five points clear of Ai Ogura. Ogura’s position has slipped to fifth in the world championship after he missed Aragon due to a hand injury sustained during training.

There is also a clear separation forming behind the leading group. Pedro Acosta—now identified as a future factory Ducati rider—splits the Trackhouse riders in sixth after an impressive runner-up finish for KTM at Aragon.
