BEZZECCHI AND MARTIN VISIT MOTO GUZZI’S MANDALLO DEL LARIO HOME DURING 2026 WORLD DAYS

A few days ahead of the MotoGP race weekend in Misano, Aprilia’s MotoGP factory riders Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin—along with test rider Lorenzo Savadori—made a special trip to the Moto Guzzi World Days 2026 in Mandello del Lario. The visit also carried extra meaning for the Italian marque, which is celebrating its 105th anniversary this year; Moto Guzzi was founded in 1921 and, like Aprilia, is part of the Piaggio Group.

The trio used the event to tour Moto Guzzi’s new production facility at the brand’s historic home base. After getting an insight into the updated works, Bezzecchi, Martin and Savadori continued the program with a visit to the new Moto Guzzi museum, where they could closely view motorcycles that have shaped the company’s more-than-century-long history.

Another highlight was the factory’s famous wind tunnel. Moto Guzzi says the facility has been fully restored and renovated and is among the most significant historical installations in Mandello del Lario. The wind tunnel has been in operation since the 1950s, placing the company among early pioneers in motorcycle aerodynamic development.

The day wasn’t limited to static sightseeing. Bezzecchi and Savadori joined a major parade running from Lecco to Mandello del Lario. Bezzecchi rode a V7 Sport, while Savadori took a Stelvio. Martin, meanwhile, did not take part in the shared ride, but he was still present later for a fan meet-up.

To close the program, Bezzecchi, Martin and Savadori gathered in front of the iconic red gate on Via Parodi. Since 1921, that entrance has marked the way into the Moto Guzzi works and is one of the brand’s landmarks. There, the Aprilia trio met the many “Guzzisti” who had traveled to the site, with Moto Guzzi also noting a strong turnout from younger visitors—framing the appearance as a bridge between the brand’s 105-year legacy and a new generation of motorcycle fans.
