VR46 CONFIRMS FRANCO MORBIDELLI WILL DEPART AT THE END OF THE SEASON

VR46 has confirmed that Franco Morbidelli will leave the team at the end of the current MotoGP season, ending a partnership that began with the rider’s early Academy days. The team’s announcement said: “At the end of this season, our journey with @frankymorbido will come to an end,” adding there had been “podiums, battles and plenty of moments to celebrate,” and closing with: “Glad we got to share this journey with you, Franky 💛.” MotoGP News adds that Morbidelli joined VR46 at the start of 2025 after leaving Pramac, initially on a one-year deal extended through 2026, but not renewed again. The move is expected to “effectively swap seats” with Nicolo Bulega, who has been dominating World Superbikes for factory Ducati.
