MARC MARQUEZ AND CASEY STONER PRAISE TONI BOU AFTER RECORD 40TH TRIAL WORLD TITLE

Toni Bou has added another landmark to his extraordinary trial career, securing his 20th consecutive Outdoor TrialGP world title in the Netherlands. The 39-year-old Spaniard has now extended a run that began with his first TrialGP championship back in 2007, keeping the streak alive year after year.

When his indoor success is included as well, Bou’s dominance reaches an almost unmatched figure: he won his 20th straight X-Trial world championship in March 2026, bringing his total to 40 world titles in succession across both formats. The achievement prompted a wave of congratulations from prominent figures across motorsport, including MotoGP stars.

Marc Marquez led the tributes in a congratulatory video, describing Bou as “a real role model,” adding: “You are a beast, a machine. Enjoy it, you are a real role model.” Casey Stoner echoed the scale of the feat, calling it “phenomenal,” and stressing the consistency behind it: “In the last 20 years, that’s incredible. 40 world championships. Indoor or outdoor, no matter the conditions, no matter the day—you deliver week after week. From the bottom of my heart: that’s just an incredible achievement. Congratulations! Enjoy it!”

Fabio Quartararo also reacted with surprise at the sheer number of titles, joking: “Toni, congratulations on your 40th title. I didn’t know you could have more titles than years.”
