RED BULL RING TO HOST AUSTRIAN GP WEEKEND WITH FAN FESTIVITIES AND PIT-LANE ACCESS

Ahead of the MotoGP Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Austria at the Red Bull Ring, Spielberg is set for a “Super Thursday” atmosphere as fans move beyond the grandstands and into the paddock experience. Ticket holders can take part in the Public Pit Lane Walk without any extra charge, getting a look behind the scenes of the premier class before riders fight for championship points.

The event calendar also includes family-friendly and grassroots racing moments. The Red Bull Ring hosts the third “MopedGP von Österreich,” dedicated to 50cc heroes, with registration available via the Red Bull Ring website. The moped race is scheduled for September 17.

For the first time, the MotoGP Fan Zone is built around three entertainment zones designed to keep the festival mood going throughout the day. The “Rock Area” brings live guitar sound and a biker feel, while the “VibeSphere” focuses on DJ sets and music-led energy. In the “Steirer Stadl,” visitors can enjoy a beer-garden setting with live bands and a distinctly Austrian, laid-back vibe. During the day, Adrian Guggemoos performs a trial freestyle show, and there are also skate and BMX demonstrations. A key fan moment is the MotoGP sprint trophy ceremony on Saturday.

Fans will also get chances to get close to the MotoGP stars. When Marc Marquez, Pedro Acosta and others arrive at the Welcome Center to greet supporters, the day’s interactions are framed as special opportunities. The “Hero Walk” on the Styrian Green Carpet includes time for autographs and selfies, and there is also a “Meet the Riders” session inside the MotoGP Fan Zone.

On the race-weekend build-up, Austria’s national anthem is set to be performed by the Woodstock der Blasmusik all-star band immediately before the Grand Prix start on Sunday. Entertainment continues on the Red Bull Ring’s start-finish straight with the Flying Bulls air display and the HSV Red Bull Skydive Team’s flag jump before the action begins.
